Greed and Gouge Unlimited
are preparing another ambush

Just because the price of gas has dropped slightly is no reason for the driving public to let down their guard. Keep in mind that behind the smokescreen of their laughable reasons and excuses oil company profits hit a record high. The can cry injury but Big Oil is crying all the way to the proverbial bank. Another Bush blunder, an ill wind out of the Bay of Mexico, a China move in Africa, and any number of other excuses they can think up to justify their unpardonable assault on our pocket books will be waved in false sorrow. They have to reveal their financial status but they do so in a way that leaves the gullible with guilt: pity downtrodden Big Oil. They haven’t made a single dime in over thirty years; not one thin dime in all that time, in over thirty years. The message is not that blunt. The message that Big Oil desperately is struggling to overcome difficulties is not obvious, it’s next door to subliminal. The response of driver’s everywhere should be: Oh put it on the ground, spread it all around. It’ll make your flowers grow. The response of driver’s everywhere should also be to join True North’s No Gas Fridays. Don’t be shy. Practice it, and in time you’ll see a positive government response to rein-in these Oil Robber Barons. We had it during World War 11. Price controls worked then and it will work again. But it won’t happen unless the will of drivers is heard at the gas pumps.

See you Friday (but not at the gas pumps).

Looking forward.
